back to blogging again after so many days...

it has been a busy busy week for me because it was Chinese New Year...
Chinese New Year has always been one of my favourite days of the year...
because i get to shop as much as i could...
eat nice food...
collecting red packets..:p
and of course being able to dress myself in the nicest way i could...
so in the year of Snake this year...
i am not able to celebrate the whole 15 days of Chinese New Year like last year...
because it was back-to-school day on the 9th day of the new year...
but i practically managed to fully make use of my one week of new year break...
i have three different posts about my new year because i celebrated it in three different places...
this post would be my celebration in my hometown..:)

Chinese New Year - Nian 30

on the Chinese New Year Eve...
it was a busy busy day for the whole family...
because it was the last day to get everything clean up and decorate...
i was busy from the morning helping daddy to paint the gate with gor...
then i had to help out mummy in the kitchen with those 'keropok' frying...
then i had to do all the decorations at home...
was actually not in time to get all the decorations up especially outside the garden...
because we had to leave for dinner at night...
when AhYi..PoPo..and Hema reached around 7.30pm...
*so no decoration in my garden this year*

mummy is not cooking for reunion dinner this year...
because she feels that it is very messy to clean everything after dinner...
so we had our reunion dinner outside for the first time this year...
at Sri Mahkota Seafood Restaurant...
it was a RM388 package dinner for a table of ten...
but we only have 8 people altogether...
so eating up all the dishes was rather hard for us...
*those servings were really huge..even prawns they served about 20 i think*
but overall it was a satisfying dinner because we left the restaurant with filled up tummies..:p

Chinese New Year - Nian Cho 1

and on the first day on Chinese New Year...
i had myself put on with a peach florish blouse and a red tight skirt...
because it is of vintage trend now..:p
had light makeup as well like usual and i started to learn to draw eyeliner...
so i gave myself a thin ones this year..:)

visited KuMa's house in the morning...
with PoPo..AhYi..and Hema tagging along...
because this year is the year of Snake...
so it was a rainy day on the first day...
which made things very wet and messy..><

and in the afternoon it was the yearly 'bai nian' sessions to Birthday Gang's homes...
and the usual sequence on the first day of Chinese New Year...
would be Esther's house followed by my house...

taken at Esther's house..

and next was at my house in the evening..

then we went over to KuJie's place for family gathering...
where we had homemade buffet for dinner...
daddy's siblings' families all came for the dinner...
we had kids running here and there playing games on ipad...
*i guess no more kids play hide and seek like we used to played*
chats and chills with uncles and aunties and cousins...
we have quite a big age gap with daddy's side cousin...
so we seldom get together and talk...
but i guess this year was a little bit different because we get to get together for gathering...

we had people visiting our house non-stop on the first day of Chinese New Year...
from afternoon till night time...
KuMa's families came visited in the afternoon...
and then came Birthday Gang in the evening...
and then another bunch of friends of gor came at night who conquered the whole living room...
and also uncle and aunty Koh from next door at the dining room...
*barely get to find a spot to sit*
but it was a very happening night indeed..:)

Chinese New Year - Cho 2

second day of Chinese New Year was pretty free...
because i only went to Grace's house for 'bai nian'...
and mummy's colleague came for visit...
was in my purple v-back dress for the day..:)

at Grace's house..

and as for dinner...
mummy..AhYi and PoPo cooked for the night...
*first home cooked dinner on the new year?*

Chinese New Year - Nian Cho 3

which was also the last day i spent my one week break in Kuantan...
i managed to go for 'bai nian' at airen's house during brunch hour...
where we get to play with so so many doggies in her house...
4 Schnauzers and 1 ChiHuaHua in the house..:)
and i was madly in love with Schnauzer Gucci because she is just so so pretty..:)

group photo at airen's house..

then headed all the way to KL with family in the afternoon around 2.30pm...
in two cars with one of gor's friend tagging along...

that is all about my three days of Chinese New Year in Kuantan...
next post will be in KL..:)
