fun day at Aquaria KLCC

Monday, March 24, 2014

23rd March 2014

i have always wanted to go to the Aquaria KLCC ever since it was newly opened few years back...
but i got to know that the entrance fee is kind of pricey...
thus i have never requested anyone to bring me go...
and after sometimes i still wanted to go so so much but i wanted to go with baby also...
but again not requesting because it would be very pricey for two people...
until last year where i started browsing through Groupon quite frequently...
and i found a Full Day Entrance Ticket to Aquaria for on RM28.00 per adult..:D
i think Groupon has this deal all year round so you may want to check it out here
i asked airen for help to get me two tickets from there because i did not own any e-banking that time...
and guess what airen bought two as my birthday present!!!!..:D
*i just love her!!!*
i felt guilty at first because i asked for a favour but it turned out that she buying me as a surprise gift...
so after almost a year baby and me finally made it there for FREE!!!
*thank you airen!!!..xoxo!!!*
i think i chose the right date to go because i know baby would definitely going to love this tour there...
because baby loves all these underwater-fishes-stuffs..:p
so i kind of planned to make it as a simple birthday tour for him...
*my birthday present for baby's birthday..LOL!!!*

so we had to settle some stuffs before we start with our tour to under the sea...
as usual i went over to baby's place and as usual to find him still sleeping like a pig...
and as usual i will have to welcome myself in..-_-
and as usual to wait for him to wash up...
we had late breakfast nearby baby's house...
yes those normal hawker stalls we used to go when we don't fancy expensive meals...
then it was time for me to learn to remember routes...
will be a going for an interview on Monday at Kelana Jaya...
i am very very glad to have him search for the office for me days before i come up to KL...
baby went and look for my interview office few nights back after works...
and then when i am in KL he will teach me how to go there...
by bringing me back to the starting point which is PoPo's house...
and from there baby directed me all the way to the office...
and all i have to do was to sit beside him and remember the way there...
i am just grateful to have him so concern with my things even looking for interview office like this has totally nothing to do with him at all...
but he takes great effort to ensure that i am well guided and at the same time save me out of troubles like getting lost or maybe taking too much time looking for it...
*thank you baby..xoxo*

we then drove and parked our car at Kelana Jaya LRT station...
and we took the LRT all the way to KLCC...
i am sure this going to save us a lot on the parking fees because parking in KLCC is fucking expensive..><
and taking LRT only costed us RM4.80...
*big different huh?*
headed straight to Aquaria KLCC once we reached there..-_-
baby was craving for food again so we bought a plate of Lemongrass Chicken Rice from the foodcourt just outside the aquarium...
*just watching him eat because we just ate not long ago*

and finally we were in Aquaria KLCC!!!..:D
the queue was superb long...
most of them came with their families...
fathers..mothers..KIDS..-_-
it became so crowded with those kids behaved so badly...
they kept pushing you to move to the front of the glass...
some even screamed as though their parents are miles away from them like that...
'mak!! mak!!..ikan!!!'..'papa!! papa!!..see this!!!'..etc etc..@@
conclusion NOISY and ANNOYING that i wanted to throw them to the piranhas!!!..-_-
talking about piranhas so this was the first thing greeted us when we entered...
whole flock of piranhas..:o
first time seeing piranhas with my two naked eyes i guess...
fact is that real life piranhas look totally different from the ones you watch from movies..-_-

next we came to this opened aquarium where we are allowed to touch the fishes in there...
so pretty right..:)

i wanted to hold the starfish baby put it right on my palm...
and it felt like holding a rock because its texture is a bit hard...
but the bottom of the starfish is kind of soft...
felt a bit weird holding it..><
it is ALIVE!!!

definitely a 'No' for me to touch that..*ewww*
no idea what it is called but baby liked it...
and baby totally not afraid of it...
its legs were moving and giggling when baby turn it upside down as shown in the picture...
*holy cow!!!*

then we came to the otters section and it was also superb crowded...
the workers there were doing demonstration with the otters...
everyone surrounded the whole platform i could hardly peep on it properly..-_-
so i missed the cute otters and came to this fatty...
could not resist myself from snapping a photo with it...
she looks a bit like QQ don't you think so...
*too cute!!!*

further down the aisle were all reptiles...
i must say that they do have very beautiful reptiles in the exhibition...
especially the lizards...
the fun part and also the freaky part when looking at the reptiles...
is when you try searching the whole exhibit to look for that one creature in there...
baby always get to spot it first and it always frighten me when baby points it to me...
especially those that is just right in front of me..><

this iguana i must specially post a single photo of it...
i did not search for this thing...
it was just lying on the rock right in front of me...
you don't have to find it because it is the only creature in there...
and you will definitely see it because it is as big as the TV rack of my house...
*anyone of you who come my house before will know how long my house TV rack is*
no joke..no exaggeration..it is that big!!!..:o
baby said it can probably swallow me straight..><

coming up next was Level 2 with big fishes!!!
right behind us is a very tall tank of aquarium greeting us when we were at Level 2...
everyone wanted to take a shot here though it say 'No Picture' with a sign there...
nobody stop us so why not right?..:p
this is probably the nicest picture of us throughout the whole tour...
it is not a selfie we asked a passer by to snap for us...
*love this picture loads*

next to the tall aquarium is a big tank...
you fall into it means you will be eaten by all the fish in there..:o
looks beautiful taking from this angle...

and here it is the tall aquarium...
i think it is about a storey and a half high??..o.O
not so sure but it is very beautiful...
just no idea why the fish accumulate on the top and not coming down at all...

and not to miss this big big platform with all giant fishes in there...
none of the fish there is not giant...
see the fish that looks like a crocodile?
it is call the Alligator Gar and this is the giant fish that baby has one in his aquarium...
i thought baby's one is a giant already but those here are like 20x bigger!!!
baby's one is just a little baby if compare with those in the Aquaria..><
there were also Arapaima..and Catfish there...
and they weigh up to 200 pound..:o

i swear they can swallow me like a snake swallows a rat..><

my camera died on me after that thus all the pictures below were taken with iPad..><

this fish caught my attention completely because it is so pretty!!!

Red Devil!!! first time coming across an octopus!!!
superb huge!!! bigger than me!!!
and it was showing off its suckers moving left to right and right to left non-stop...
so it was rather hard to snap a nice shot of it...
kind if freaked me out actually standing right in front of it..><

then it was time for the underwater tunnel...
the tunnel is just a short one i must say...
it was very crowded and stuffy inside...
those people stopped there for so long that it made the queue stopped...
the workers have to ask those right in front to move...
there were also parents who brought babies along...
prams blocked the way making it even more crowded..-_-
plus kids screaming out of excitement..holy cow!!! annoying!!!

and we missed the feeding session as well..-_-
the crowds was too horrible that we could not move at all...
and when we came out from the tunnel the feeding show was already over...
only managed to snap a picture of the crew though..-_-

one shot before we move out to the exit..
thanks one of the crew to help to take this picture...
a little dark though..:p

we spent roughly about two to three hours in the aquarium...
came out feeling hungry but we decided not to have our meal there at KLCC because of the crowds...
we took the LRT back to Kelana Jaya...
and headed to the McDonalds outside baby's house just for a light meal...
AhYi texted saying that they will be going out for dinner...
so i decided to have dinner with baby first before heading home at around 9.00pm...

that is all about my tour to Aquaria KLCC with baby boy...
glad that baby like the visit i planned for him...
well at least it was not just a casual dinner for his birthday...
i did something else for him too..
