Job Hunts: interview with Brigthree

Monday, April 21, 2014

this time interview was with Brightree Solutions Sdn Bhd...
i did not apply any job from this company at all...
they actually got my CV and education background from the SAP Academy...
anyone who had taken the SAP course would have an account there i believe...
so Brightree Solutions is an SAP consulting firm...
i got invited by them to an interview for the position of Associate SAP Consultant...
well because it is a 'consultant' role and it is SAP...
*SAP is like so freaking big in the world and if i happen to be part of this it would be great*
i decided to accept their invitation and go for it...

pretty much nothing to prepare except understanding of the company's background...
*well..interview basics 101 (1) i guess..LOL*
and like usual i will predict that the traffic would be freaking massive...
so like usual also i would leave home like superb early..just in case i will get stuck in the jam...
but *sigh* the traffic was so smooth this morning i do not know why..><
i reached Wisma BU8 in like 20 minutes drive...
parked my car and just waited in there for the time to pass...
pretty sure the office have yet to even open when i reached there..-_-

i was told that there are total of 5 candidates that will be undergoing the interview...
we were all scheduled at the same time for the group briefing followed by individual interview...
i was the first candidate to arrive at the office...
*always punctual on the first day..interview basics 101 (2)..LOL*
so i was given a 50 minutes test on the spot...
*what? never expect a test coming at all..wtf*
there were three sections to be completed...
the first section were questions on EQ and IQ...
the second section was essay writing..><
and the third was probably the easiest one of all..ratings of 1-5 questions...
there were only 2 candidates showed up for the interview...
1 was me and another was an indian guy...
he was pretty unpunctual he came like 15 minutes late??..o.0
and the rest of the three candidates did not turned up at all with no notification to the company at all...
*never know there is such people with such attitude when it comes to seeking for a job*

i was the first one to proceed with the interview right after the briefing...
i think i was a little screwed up already...
because on the essay writing section we were asked to write and essay on...
'why do you think you are suitable to be a consultant'
*don't remember how exactly the question sounds like but this is roughly what was asked*
i did mentioned one point that...
i do not like being indoor all the time facing computer writing codes all the time...
so i think this position is very suitable for me...
*something like that*
then during the briefing i actually got to know the role of this SAP Associate Consultant...
is actually ABAP programmer cum consultant...
*FUCK?!*
which means besides getting outside meeting clients and stuffs...
there is also the need to learn one programming language known as ABAP...
ABAP is pretty rare being taught in uni...
so the interviewer ensure me not to worry much on the programming side...
because even if you are pro in other languages...
you might not be a pro in ABAP because it is a different programming language...
so he sort of like encouraged me indirectly...

i was pretty positive with the interview...
because i think the interviewer was happy with my performance...
and also because he encouraged me on the programming side...
