Marcus's birthday dinner

Friday, April 11, 2014

it has been so long since the gang had such a long outing together...
though there were few missing everytime...
but we will somehow gather whoever is around for at least a meet up for some catching up and updates...
ordinary late night 'yam cha' or maybe occasionally long outing...
we can go 'yam cha' every night as well even though there is nothing to talk about...
just come out together and have supper and talk crap to pass the night is also fun enough for us...
so after last night 'yam cha' session with the only three guys around...
we planned an outing for today because it is Marcus's boy birthday today!!!..:D
*not a boy anymore..he is a man already..LOL!!!*

we went to catch a movie in the evening...
we were having a hard time the night before to decide on what movie to watch...
because Keong had watched almost all the movies on screened recently...
he was okie to watch the movie again...
but we think that it will be unfair for him to pay to watch the same movie again...
so in the end i decided on what to watch...
*evil smirk*
RIO 2!!!..:D
none of the guys actually watch the first movie of Rio...
but since they are fine for it so hell yeah..Rio 2 it is!!!
this movie is surprisingly good i must say...
*no doubt at all*
the graphics are nice..the musics are awesome..and it is superb funny...
glad that i made the right choice because the guys seemed to enjoy it too..:)

then the four of us had dinner at Restoran Tomyam Paragon...
the guys wanted to have steamboat...
*during suych hot weather?..LOL*
East Coast Steamboat Buffet and Specky Buffet are way too common for us already...
Keong suggested on Paragon he was praising on the tomyam soup...
and Marcus was damn attracted to it..like instantly attracted...
since Marcus and HongCheet never been there before nor heard of it before..-_-
and the birthday boy wanted to try it so much...
best choice among the best choice already right..:p

they used to have a book of menu to order...
but somehow there was not any when we were there this time...
i guess it is pretty standardised for the orders...
you just need to tell the waiter/waitress how many person...
and what type of soup we prefer..and that is all...
they will serve you with few plates of raw dishes in no time...
i think one type of these dishes is for two persons consumption...
because we had two plates of these each...

beef?..squids..variety of tofus..variety of fishballs..chicken..salami...

not sure what type of meat is this..lamb?..o.0

variety of green vegetables..mushrooms..and noodles at the bottom...

and this is the famous of Paragon..tomyam soup...
obviously it is a BBQ and steamboat pot...
that thingy in the middle is a pig skin i think...
this is where the source of oil comes from to 'fry' the meats...

ready to dig in..:D superb yummy i love the soup very much...
the tomyam soup is very flavourful and somewhat thicker in texture...
compared with those cheap ordinary steamboat buffet tomyam soup...
spicier but tolerable...
and i feel it is a must to soak your food into the tomyam soup...
and scoop it into your mouth together with it...
*yummy!!!*

HongCheet drinks like a boss..:D
not beer or liquor it is actually herbal tea in beer bottle...
*LOL*

the Restoran Tomyam Paragon that i visited is at
A-33, Jalan Haji Ahmad 2,
25300 Kuantan, Pahang Darul Makmur.
Telephone: +60 13-977 9999
Business Hours: Not Stated

we wanted to head over to Secret Recipe for some cakes after the dinner...
but we were all too full that we could barely stuff anything anymore...
so we headed home after dinner...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARCUS!!!
